TUNAWEZA is 5-year program implemented and managed by Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation (EGPAF) as part of U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention PEPFAR programs in Kenya.
The purpose of the initiative is to expand access to HIV/AIDS interventions through activities aimed at increasing the organizational, technical and financial capacity of community based organizations (CBOs), Faith-based organizations (FBOs) and local NGOs to provide quality and comprehensive prevention, care and treatment services.
About the Program
TUNAWEZA supports HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment activities of local organizations by providing organizational and systems strengthening through training and mentorship, expansion of technical capacity for evidenced-based HIV/AIDS programming and performance based contracting to deliver multiple HIV/AIDS prevention, care and treatment services to target populations.

Province: Rift Valley
District: Laikipia, Transmara, Narok, Samburu, Baringo, Nakuru (Rongai), Trans Nzoia, West Pokot
N/B: Organizations applying to support development and implementation of national policies are not restricted to the above geographic scope.

Applicant Eligibility
- MUST be a registered CBO, FBO or indigenous NGO
- MUST not be a direct recipient of USG PEPFAR funds currently.
- Should have relevant experience in the program area(s) applied for.
