Regional Office Strategy Management (ROSM) Analyst
Background:
The Global Office of Strategy Management (OSM) is a newly established unit in the World1 Vision International (WVI) Global Centre.
The OSM's role includes the facilitation of strategy formulation, tracking strategy execution/performance and strategy learning throughout the Partnership.
The OSM is designed to be a team of senior professionals, serving cross-functional roles as internal strategic consultants. Each member is tasked to support different functions of the OSM's overall mission.
The Business Analyst is a critical member of this team working closely with the Director of Partnership Strategy, as well as key stakeholders across the World Vision. As the OSM moves into FY08 they will facilitate the development of a Global Partnership Strategy, supported by newly developed country prioritization, resource allocation and accountability mechanisms.

Following are the task descriptions:
- Perform both qualitative and quantitative research internally and externally
- Organize data in worksheets and other sources according to work stream typologies and related research streams
- Perform complex statistical analysis such as multi-variable, regression, cluster and correlation analysts, scenario modeling as well as qualitative analysis
- Prepare graphic presentations, speaker's notes and or written summaries from analysis
- Revisit hypotheses as necessary
- Develop well-integrated project plans and schedules
- Work on a team to deliver project phases, which may include project development, database analysis and delivery of key findings
- Design structured communications to present project findings to clients
- Develop and implement complex mathematical and statistical models that relate business-wide organizational activities to strategic goals
- Develop custom analysis tools using a variety of different applications such as MS Access, MS Excel, and external software

Experience, Knowledge and Competencies
The following experience, knowledge, and competencies may be acquired through a combination of formal schooling, self-education, prior experience, or on-the-job training.

- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree (preferred) with a strong academic record
- Although a degree in a specific area is not required, an educational background with a heavy emphasis on quantitative analytics is desired, such as: economics, statistics, math, business administration, engineering, management of information systems, or a related discipline
- Experience in complex business analysis, data mining and statistics
- Experience with several methods of both qualitative and quantitative research
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent graduate school education
Proficiency with applications such as:
- MS Excel
- Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as SPSS, SAS, Stata, and Minitab is an asset
- MS Access—advanced understanding of relational database structures, SQL experience is an asset
- Lotus Notes—basic knowledge of the software, including databases
- MS PowerPoint and MS Word
