HR Advisor - Business Processes Horn East & Central Africa
Based at the Regional Centre, Nairobi

Oxfam OGB, Horn East & Central Africa (HECA) works in different contexts on humanitarian, development and campaigns programmes in nine countries.

The regional HR team supports the countries and work with the regional managers in developing strategic HR solutions, tools and best practices in people management.

This role offers you a challenging and rewarding experience in human resources as well as an opportunity to work with teams making a real impact on poverty and suffering.

We require a highly experienced HR Generalist with the ability to broker innovative HR solutions for the business.

The role

The Business Process Advisor will overview the quality of HR business processes including all operational aspects of the generalist HR function.

These will be in the areas of HR management information system, policy management, recruitment management, case management, pay and benefits management, employee relations and legal compliance and ensuring best practices in HR Basics.

Mainstreaming gender and diversity within the organization and maintaining health and safety standards will be part of the role.

The person

To be successful in this role you will have a relevant degree and/or diploma in human resources management and significant relevant experience at a similar level, preferably in service or development sector.

A proven track record of personal achievement as an HR generalist is a prerequisite.

You will have relevant HR competence in recruitment, workforce planning, HR systems design and implementation, employee relations, pay and benefits management, health & safety management and project management.

You will be competent in computer applications and will have experience in budgeting and monitoring budget.

You will be a team player and will influence and inspire confidence in others using your professional approach and specialist knowledge.
