Chief Information Officer
As a member of the Senior Management Team, The Chief Information Officer reports directly to the Group Managing Director and will manage the IT teams in the region.
The Chief Information Officer is responsible for planning and managing the Group's ICT resources to contribute to tangible benefits to the Group's performance and productivity.

Chief Information Officer
As a member of the Senior Management Team, The Chief Information Officer reports directly to the Group Managing Director and will manage the IT teams in the region.
The Chief Information Officer is responsible for planning and managing the Group's ICT resources to contribute to tangible benefits to the Group's performance and productivity.
The key responsibilities of the role will be to:
- Develop, maintain and facilitate the implementation of a sound and integrated information framework for utilization by UAP Group, which includes advanced software in Life, General, Medical, Asset Portfolio Management, Electronic Document Management Systems and Virtual Back-up Solutions
- Give overall direction on ICT issues to the companies in the region
- Create a strategic edge for the Group in a competitive industry through exploiting strategic opportunities in ICT and leading in implementing the Group's 5 year ICT strategy
- Oversee the financial planning investment and control of the company's information management resources including procurement, maintenance and supplier management
- Enable business process reform for information-related activities and for business processes with a significant ICT component
- Facilitate the effective sharing and transfer of information to harness both formal and informal information sources for strategic advantage
- Promote the effective and efficient design and operation of all major information management systems and processes, including improvements to work processes
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of information management projects and operations on the basis of auditable performance measurements
- Evaluate new information technologies for their potential application to business processes
- Ensure that the Group companies are able to comply with government requirements concerning information management such as audit, risk management, copyright and freedom of information
- Develop and implement a business continuity plan incorporating disaster recovery site resident offsite to minimize disruption in the event of disasters
- Manage all ICT projects for effectiveness and efficiency by applying up to date project management skills
- Implement and monitor ICT security requirements
The preferred candidate will posses:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or IT
- Masters degree in Information Systems or Business Management
- At least 2 leading certificates
- 10 years experience in the field, with atleast 4 years in Senior Management position
- Strategic and business planning skills and experience
- Ability to appreciate strategic ICT requirements to support the business
- Ability to effectively manage and supervise personnel and work programmes
- Ability to budget and appreciate the financial implication of technology absorption
- Demonstrable leadership skills with strong intellect and vision as well as a proven track record of honesty and integrity
