Brief Description
Carry out assigned repair and replacement tasks on aircraft and aircraft systems in accordance with KCAA regulations and company procedures at optimized cost for the business while upholding high safety standards to maintain schedule integrity
Detailed Description
- Carry out routine and non routine maintenance tasks for safe and timely release of aircraft within planned downtime for continued airworthiness.
- Carry out maintenance tasks on cabin utilities (seats, galleys, toilets, carpet, sidewall panels etc) and I.F.E systems for utmost Customer satisfaction and comfort and timely release of Aircraft to maintain the schedule integrity.
- Report incident / accident occurrences to senior Engineer
- Accurately record and sign all maintenance tasks carried out to ensure Aircraft history is correct and up to date
- Rectify general aircraft and I.F.E defects in accordance with the Aircraft maintenance manual.
- Check tools and equipment required before and after the assigned tasks while maintaining high safety standards to personnel and equipment
- Adhere to the company safety, health and environmental policy
- Carry out security checks as per engineering security document annex 8.
- Carryout basic Aircraft structural repairs
- Work towards acquiring basic licenses
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
- Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline and an approved apprenticeship program or
- Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline and at least three years working experience in aircraft maintenance
- Knowledge on aircraft system
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Knowledgeable on KCAA regulations
- Human factors knowledge
- Skills on interpretation of engineering drawings
- Knowledge in sheet metal fabrication and fibre glass repair
