The EABC, the regional apex body for private sector associations and corporate members, was founded in 1997 and now has 132 members.
EABC’s vision is to be an effective change agent fostering an enabling business environment leading to competitive, export-led, integrated and sustainable economies in East Africa.
EABC has positioned itself as a privileged policy dialogue partner and now aims to build on its achievements, through support from the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) under a 4 year Project named “Deepening private sector participation in East African’s Economic Integration Process”.
The overall objective of the project is to support EABC to become a more efficient and acknowledged driver of private sector development in East Africa and the advisory reference organization on the requisite environment for competitive business operations within the region.
The project will support and strengthen the participation of the private sector in the EAC integration process through more effective articulation of their interests.
To spearhead the implementation of the Project, EABC would like to recruit a Program Manager, to be based at EABC Offices in Arusha, Tanzania.
Under the overall supervision of the EABC Executive Director, the Program Manager will be responsible for coordinating the day to day project operations and implementation, including the preparation of an Annual Workplan based on the activities agreed in the Project Document, carrying out internal program review and preparing progress reports as need be.
