Job Title: Executive Director
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Reports to: The Board of Trustees- The President’s Award- Kenya.
Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be the President’s Award Chief Executive Officer and will act on behalf of the Board of Trustees in the day to day running of The President’s Award – Kenya office
His/ Her primary function will be to manage, promote and develop the Award programme in Kenya.
Working closely with the various committees of the Board of the Board of Trustees in consultation with the Board, he/she will lead the President’s Award Secretariat team, in revising, updating and implementing the President’s Award Short Term and Long Term Strategic Plan.

More specifically, the successful candidate will be:
- The Chief Executive Officer of the Programme
- The chief fundraiser of the Programme both locally and abroad
- Responsible for hiring, managing and training staff
- The Accounting Officer for the Programme
- Responsible for the preparation and presentation of the Annual Budget to the Trustees for approval.
- Work with the committees in implementing the Activity Plans of the Programme.
The candidate applying for this position must possess a minimum qualification of first degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
Minimum age of 30 years with special skills and ability to mobilize resources as well as good interpersonal skills Must be team player with passion for young people and be able to interact with people at the highest level.
Must be able to train and motivate young people.
Remuneration packages will be commensurate with post and will be confirmed at the appointment stage.
