Request for Proposal for a Consultancy to Lead a Participatory Process for the Formulation of the East African Community Development Strategy 2011 - 2015

The East African Community (EAC) is a regional organisation mandated by the Governments of the Republics of Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and the United Republic of Tanzania to spearhead the East African economic, social and political integration.

The EAC is now seeking to engage a reputable firm or team of consultants (with extensive and hands on knowledge in Development Planning particularly the formulation of Development Strategies in the context of regional development to lead a participatory process involving all the key stakeholders in the formulation of the 4th EAC Development Strategy (2011-2015), within the framework of the Treaty taking into account the Partner States long term visions and strategies.

Procurement of consultancy services will be done through competitive bidding in accordance with the EAC procurement rules.

Interested bidders should submit their SEALED bids clearly marked "Tender for Consultancy Services for the Formulation of the East African Community Development Strategy 2011 - 2015" accompanied with a non-refundable fee of USD 100 in Banker's Cheque.

The Cheque should be drawn to East African Community Secretariat and the bid should be addressed to:
