Terms of Reference for Information Technology Assistant

• Trouble shooting network hardware and system problems
• Installing and trouble shooting hardware (CPUs, monitors, printers, scanners, video cards, sound cards, modem, Ups and stabilizers)
• Preparing network equipment and patch cables for installation
• Repairing and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance of computer hardware and network equipment and plants
• Providing staff members with physical technical support of computer hardware and network operations
• Configuring staff member's computer equipment
• Repairing all IT hardware of the Commission
• Installing and trouble shooting application software (the operating systems, applications, utilities and antivirus programmes and virus definitions)
• Providing staff members with technical support of application software

Qualifications

Education:

• University degree or diploma in information systems or any relevant field

Work Experience

• At least 5 years of progressively responsible professional and experience in telecommunications and computer technology.

Competencies:

Languages

• Fluency in spoken and written English
