This highly regarded International Financial Institution involved in international banking and the promotion of trade (the "Bank") is looking to recruit a number of suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following exciting and highly challenging professional positions:
  • Head, Banking Operations
  • Head, Administrative Services
Qualifications:

Entry into the organization's professional class requires that candidates hold superior first degrees (not below a second class lower honours degree) from a leading University in either Economics, Finance, Accounting, Law, Business Administration or other disciplines relevant to the position.

Candidates must also hold at least one higher degree from a reputable University in the relevant discipline or an internationally recognized professional qualification in relevant fields.

Candidates must be fluent in either English or French with a working knowledge of the other with demonstrable experience of working successfully in a multicultural environment.

Previous or current experience of working within a leading financial institution in Africa would be a distinct advantage.

Experience:

Head, Banking Operations

The candidate must have at least 15 years of financial industry experience in a leading financial institution involving financial project and credit analyses.

He/she must be highly experienced in loan administration, loan agency, delivery of trade services and correspondent banking.

The candidate must have good experience in managing operations' risks in the context of Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework.

He/she must also have a good knowledge of review of bank and corporate credit proposals involving short and medium term transactions.

Experience and understanding of diverse credit instruments and techniques, especially structured trade finance, is essential.

The candidate is also expected to be familiar with modern loan administration systems and software. Experience in leading international institutions in Africa will be of advantage.

Head, Administrative Services

The candidate must have at least 15 years of experience preferably in a leading international financial institution.

He/she will be responsible for the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures and practices necessary to properly administer the general support, facilities and services of the Bank, in the areas of premises management, records management, procurement, communications, travels, protocol services, especially, the relationship between the Bank and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the host country in the area of diplomatic privileges and immunities for the Bank employees, and related administrative issues.

He/she will be responsible for managing various service contracts in place in the institution as well as aspects of its Business Continuity and Contingency Plan.

The candidate will be required to continuously work on improving systems, procedures and arrangements within the department in order to eliminate any inefficiency or waste.

He/she will participate in policy planning and interdepartmental discussions and through his/her efforts contribute to the effective and efficient delivery of the Bank's services.
