Operations Manager Job Vacancy: Altima Africa Job Advert

Our Client is one of East Africa’s leading construction groups, whose key focus is in civil engineering construction.

The company is today recognized as a strong brand in the engineering industry.

The Position
The position holder will be reporting to the Managing Director and will work on a full time basis.

His/her Key responsibilities will be;
  • Assisting in Planning, Coordination and Implementation of Project activities and will be the link between site operations and the head office.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Project Budgets, based on most competitive prices prepared by the Accounts Assistant and ensuring adherence to the budgets.
  • Working with the HR Officer to develop performance targets for site staff. This includes the Site Agents, Drillers and Sub-Drillers etc.
  • Coordinating and controlling of reporting from sites. This involves but is not limited to, compilation of daily project reports and review and approval of weekly requisitions.
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of Program of Works to guide project activities.
  • Preparation of payment certificates and invoices and follow up for approval
The Ideal Candidate should have;
  • A University degree in engineering.
  • Demonstrate a strong Understanding of civil engineering, with 3 years experience
  • Ability to manage several projects.
  • Ability to deliver high quality reports.
  • Experience in supervising large teams of people
