Kenya Methodist University Employment Opportunities

Kenya Methodist University, a Chartered ecumenical institution of Higher learning based in Meru town and with campuses and centres in Nairobi, Mombasa, Nakuru and Nyeri, wishes to recruit dynamic and suitably qualified candidates for the following positions.

Associate Professors - School of Business and Management Studies

Applicants must have a PhD degree with at least 3 years of university teaching experience and a minimum of three publications, or two university level books in their area of specialization which include: - Strategic Management, Information Technology, Human Resource Management, and Entrepreneurship.

Candidates must have supervised postgraduate students.

Associate Professors - Faculty of Education

Applicants must have a PhD degree with at least 3 years of university teaching experience and a minimum of three publications, or two university level books in the area of specialization which include:-Education Administration & Planning, Leadership and Education Management, Counseling, Curriculum & Instruction.

Candidates must have supervised postgraduate students.

Senior Assistant Registrar - HR

Applicants must have a Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management.

In addition applicants must possess a Higher National Diploma in Human Resource Management with at least 5 years experience in an institution of higher learning or in an equivalent organization in the corporate sector.

The holder of this position will be in charge of the HR strategy in the following areas:

  • Training and Development
  • Compensation and Reward
  • Performance Management
  • Organization Development
  • Employee Relations
  • Employee Welfare
The above positions require individuals of high ethical standards, integrity, and professionalism.

They must possess good managerial, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

Computer literacy and good working knowledge of relevant computer applications is also mandatory for all positions.

Terms and conditions

The above posts are on 3-year term contract renewable after satisfactory performance.
