We are looking for a truly outstanding individual who will offer operational support as the Senior Supervisor – Mechanical, within Hilton Nairobi;

Senior Supervisor – Mechanical

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Chief Engineer in the organisation of the Mechanical and Air-Condition sections.
  • Supervise the team on preventive maintenance and repair works as scheduled.
  • Assist in the implementation of all company statutory and legal requirements including Fire, Health and Safety, Hygiene, and all local by laws.
  • Undertakes regular inspections of the building and report any actions needed to the team.
  • Oversee the water analysis system and ensure high standards are maintained at all times.
  • Assist the Head of Department in training, coaching and overall employee development.
  • Ensuring effective work controls and productivity measures are maintained while reducing overall costs.
  • Provide technical assistant to the maintenance teams undertaking routine maintenance or breakdowns.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience as a Mechanical/ AC& Ref engineering.
  • Candidates with experience in Hospitality/Transportation industries will hold an added advantage.
  • Must be conversant with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 2007.
  • Experience in supervision and development of Team Members.

  • Ability and initiative to work in a dynamic and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to make quick decisions and improvise if necessary.
  • Hands-on knowledge on mechanical and refrigeration processes.
  • A proactive problem solver and decision-maker.
