Overall Purpose of the job
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director will be responsible for providing leadership, delivering short and long-term objectives, and managing strategy implementation in accordance with Board Decisions.

- Providing leadership in the development and implementation of the company’s strategic plans to ensure sustainable operation
- Advising the Board of Directors on performance in regard to objectives, targets and policies as they affect the operations of the company.
- Ensuring effective mobilization and utilization of resources
- Nurturing the company’s human resource and encouraging productivity and results oriented culture in the company.
- Safeguarding the company’s assets.
- Effectively promote a positive image of the company at all times.
- Promoting sound corporate governance and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree in Civil Engineering or Water Sciences
- At least 5 years relevant working experience in a busy commercial utility with three years in a Senior Management position
- Knowledge of the water sector reforms.
- Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
- Be innovative and result oriented with a proven record of integrity, accountability and implementation of change management programmes.
- Computer literate and proficient in standard office computer operations
The salary will be between 130,000 and 150,000 per month depending on qualification and experience.
Employment will be offered on a three year renewable contract dependent on performance.
