Managing Director Job Vacancy

For our large-scale Coffee farming operation in East Africa, we seek the successor for the position of Managing Director.

We expect:

• At least 10 years experience in managing position of large-scale farming operations, preferably coffee, in Africa
• Not less than 35 years of age and preferably married
• Sound and proven track record of past performance
• Degree in agronomy, agro-economics or agro-management
• Hands-on personality but with a clear sense for organizational structure and administrative order
• Ability to handle difficulties associated to the given operational environment and to implement solutions

Key functions:

• As head of an established organizational structure you will lead the operation in all aspects of planning, production, processing and transportation of crop
• Based on an approved annual business plan you will be responsible for all financial and administrative aspects of the operation and ensure regular reporting to the superiors in Europe
• Within East Africa you will ensure continuation of the important cooperation with sister companies, Government and other partner institutions
