Senior Accountant, Systems Administrator, User Support Engineer and Human Resource Assistant Jobs in Nairobi Kenya

Senior Accountant
Ref SBA/2009/10-1

The responsibilities:
  • Prepare monthly management accounts (Balance sheet, Cash flow and P & L);
  • Analyse monthly expense variances;
  • Management and control of fixed assets;
  • Inventory control including conducting physical count to ensure accuracy and reduce loss;
  • Enforce all the company policies and procedures for smooth and efficient processes;
  • Reconciliation of Balance sheet accounts;
  • Preparation of costing sheet for each consignment;
  • Prepare, analyze and report weekly, monthly, quarterly and gross margin analysis;
  • Ensure the timely submission of statutory returns;
  • Any other duties as delegated.
The person:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and full CPA;
  • At least five years experience with demonstrable experience in preparing company financial statements;
  • Strong computer skills in spreadsheets, with proven analytical and problem solving skills;
  • Prior experience in use of ERP system is mandatory and experience in ERP implementation desirable;
  • Team player and have ability to work independently;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact effectively at all levels;
  • Be energetic and self motivated;
  • Have a good demonstration of planning and organizational skills.
Systems Administrator
Ref ISA/2009/10-2

The responsibilities:
  • Manage application security, responding to security incidents and violations;
  • Manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times to maintain operating efficiency
  • Resolve performance problems and automates systems administration tasks
  • Maintain system documentation and logs
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose production/studio/newsroom problems; corrects identified problems
The person:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information systems or recognized equivalent;
  • Certification in MCSE, CCNA, RHCE
  • At least 5 years experience in a busy ICT environment, the last 2 being at Systems Administrator level;
  • Strong networking with proficiency in major operating systems, database management, development platforms, office suites and scripting languages
User Support Engineer
Ref USE/2009/10-3

The responsibilities:
  • Installation, configuration and management of software;
  • Recommend hardware and software for acquisition helping users assess needs and providing justification for equipment and services
  • Assist in instructing staff in the use of standard software and other computerized systems and devices;
  • Trouble shooting and problem solving;
The person:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information systems or recognized equivalent;
  • Certification in MCSE, CCNA, RHCE
  • A minimum of 3 years in a busy ICT environment, the last 2 being at Systems Administrator level;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels;
  • A flexible disposition with ability to work under pressure
Human Resource Assistant
Ref HRA/2009/104

The Responsibilities:
  • Open, update and maintain all personal and HR general files in approved format;
  • Update corresponding information onto the HRIS;
  • Maintain NHIF CCP certificate book, making necessary issues and surrenders;
  • Advise insurance of all additions and deletions to medical and life covers;
  • Follow up medical insurance performance on a monthly basis and advise staff of their utilization;
  • Compile and update staff leave and generate monthly status reports;
  • Maintain appropriate records for compensation and overtime paid;
  • Receive and distribute correspondence;
  • Generate standard employment letters for signature.
The person:
  • Bachelors degree in Social Sciences or recognized equivalent;
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management or recognized equivalent
  • At least two year's experience in a busy working environment;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels;
  • Meticulous and organized and self starting person;
  • Good computer skills with previous experience working with an HRIS;
