Financial Coordinator – Somalia Programme

Based in Nairobi, Kenya

Saferworld is an independent non-governmental organisation that works to prevent and reduce violent conflict and promote cooperative approaches to security. We believe that everyone should be able to lead peaceful and rewarding lives free from insecurity and violence.

Saferworld has been working in Africa since 1997, with a primary focus upon East Africa and the Horn region.

We are seeking a financial coordinator who will be responsible for the management of the finances for the Saferworld Somalia programme.

The successful candidate will be required to have extensive experience in donor contract management including the European Commission, as well as grant management skills with civil society actors in Somalia.

A minimum of three years experience in financial management/administration within an non-governmental organisation is also required, together with a recognised accounting qualification (CPA or ACCA).
