Assistant Plant Engineer
REF: / PE/11/08
Reporting to the Hospital Engineer, the successful applicant will lead the plant and civil works team in ensuring buildings, plant, machinery and equipment are maintained to optimum levels of serviceability at all times.
Particular Responsibilities Include:
- Design and implement preventive maintenance programs • Facilitate corrective repairs and maintenance
- Participate in the implementation of construction projects
- Track equipment usage in various departments
- Inventory management for all equipment and repair parts
- Ensure implementation of service contracts
- Train user departments in equipment use
- Facilitate energy management and operational cost control programs
- Effectively lead the staff in the team in achieving objectives
- Higher National Diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering or its equivalent from a
- recognized institution.
- At least 5 years experience
- Excellent organisational and planning skills.
- Good interpersonal and customer relations skills.
- Computer literate.
