Job Summary:
- Perform accounting duties for the Project including preparation of financial reports and assisting the project accounting team to maintain an efficient and accurate accounting function.
Education, Experience & Certifications
- A relevant degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce or other from a recognized institution
- CPA or ACCA finalist or any other equivalent professional qualification.
- Proficient Computer Skills in Microsoft word, Excel etc.
- Proficient in QuickBooks accounting software.
- At least 3 years experience in NGO accounting.
- Experience/exposure to financial regulations /reporting requirements for USAID and other major donors.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of ledger entries, banking procedures, financial filing systems
- Ability to handle, cashbook and accounts up to balance sheet level
- Excellent mathematical and accounting ability.
- Good verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Discretion, honest and dependable.
- Adapt to collaborative/team work environment.
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
