Job Title: Workshop Manager – Timber Industry
Main Purpose of the Job:
The Workshop Manager will be responsible for managing fully fledged timber joinery workshop to ensure efficiency in all logistical and mechanical processes.
Ability to train and supervise a team of semi skilled workers and to develop and implement systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency.

Ability to train and supervise a team of semi skilled workers and to develop and implement systems and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
Main Responsibilities:
- Complete day to day running of timber manufacturing factory
- Prepare daily output reports
- Competent in scheduling work flow systems (start and finish dates for projects)
- Competent in understanding architectural drawings
- Proficient in making cutting/material list for panel doors, furniture etc
- Develop and implement quality control systems
- Strong understanding of design and build of kitchen and wardrobe cabinets (cutting list, material lists, etc)
- Harwood garden furniture (folding systems, camping style furniture, etc)
- Supervise and manage of both senior and junior staff
- Liaising with site supervisory and understanding their requirements and establishing clear delivery dates
- To maintain stock of materials and to order supplies, ensuring completion of orders and handling of enquiries.
- To ensure that workshops and storage areas are clean, tidy and equipment therein is clean and safe.
- Carry out routine inspections and maintenance of the resource equipment.
- Adhere to the Health and Safety policy and procedures.
- Ability to train and supervise a team of semi skilled staff to improve maintenance and efficiency.
- Supervise, troubleshoot and streamline the preventative maintenance measures.
- Supports continuous growth through the implementation of relative staff development and training programs.
- Maintain all reports and documentation required or requested by the department.
Number of years of Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years experience in a managerial role within timber industry
