Small Arms Survey seeking consultant on Eastern Equatoria

The Small Arms Survey's Sudan Human Security Baseline Assessment
(HSBA) project is looking for a suitable, qualified candidate to
undertake field research in January 2010 on insecurity in Eastern
Equatoria. The candidate will write the text of a HSBA Issue Brief on
security issues in the state, based on the findings of a joint Small
Arms Survey-Danish Demining Group household survey undertaken in
November 2009. The text will present the findings, contextualize them
with qualitative field research undertaken by the author, and offer
policy recommendation on redressing insecurity.

The candidate in question will have an excellent research background,
excellent writing and communications skills, and a strong knowledge of
post-Comprehensive Peace Agreement (CPA) security dynamics in Southern
Sudan. Ideally, the candidate will also have a detailed knowledge of
Eastern Equatoria state, including by having worked there, and have an
existing network of contacts.

The consultancy will last approximately four weeks.

Please send CVs and a short cover email explaining your suitability
for the consultancy to claire.mcevoy@smallarmssurvey.org before 13th
November 2009.

Only those who are short-listed will be contacted.
