Rural Education and Economic Enhancement Programme (REEP) is a local based NGO established in 1999 and working in Western Kenya with its headquarters in Butula District.
Together with her partners BIG Lottery Fund and APT Enterprise Development-UK REEP has been implementing a four year project focusing on HIV prevention and Mitigation of the impact of AIDS in the rural communities of Butula and Nambale.
The overall project goal is to reduce poverty and improve the quality of life of the extremely poor and vulnerable people in Kenya.
The project is in its second year of the second phase of the four year project, and the organization would like to recruit a high caliber and committed professional to the following position:
Project Manager
Key Duties and Responsibilities
This is a very senior position in the organization and the incumbent will be part of the organization management team.
He or she will head a team of Project Officers and other support staff in the project.
Under the direct supervision of the Director and working closely with key project partners, the Administrator and project team members, specifically the Project Manager will perform the following duties;

Project Manager

- Implement and manage project activities according to the project document and work plan developed.
- Lead and manage the project enterprise team
- Develop appropriate strategies and approaches for the implementation of project activities to realize the desired project outputs, outcomes and impact.
- Monitor and review the project implementation processes to ensure that the project targets are being achieved according to the work plan.
- Support the project team in developing and preparing training manuals and materials and facilitate training on Business management and Agriculture.
- Manage and supervise project staff
- Prepare and complete quarterly and annual progress reports and submit them to donors and the Director on time.
- Support in fund raising for the organization by developing concept papers and proposal.
- Act as assistant to the Director
Desired Qualification, skills and Experience
- At least first degree in Agribusiness, Enterprise development, Community development or Sociology from a recognized university.
- A diploma or certificate in Project management will be an added advantage
- Demonstrated skills and experience in report writing and proposal development
- Demonstrated ability to develop training manuals and facilitate training programmes
- Mature, responsible and a person of high integrity aged above 35 years.
- Minimum 5 years continuous experience working in senior management position in an NGO setting.
- Ready and willing to work in a rural setting
- Having worked with People Living with and Affected with HIV and AIDS will be an added advantage.
