Education, knowledge and skills:
- Post-graduate degree in international relations, political science, sociology or other relevant field - or equivalent experience;
- A minimum of 5 years experience in Programme Management in the development, relief or peacebuilding fields;
- Very strong management skills, including planning, coordination, supervision and reporting;
- Expertise in Project Cycle Management and Results-Based Management;
- Knowledge and experience in applying Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning tools;
- Ability to build relationships, liaise and cooperate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders;
- Experience in capacity-building, especially ability to mentor and coach colleagues and staff of partners;
- Understanding of budgetary control and resource allocation procedures;
- Ability to provide technical oversight of implementation of the two programmes in liaison with the Resident Representative (RR);
- Ability to provide financial oversight on programmes' budgets including tracking budgets and expenses, vis-a-vis planning and contracts in co-ordination with the finance department;
- Ability to monitor, evaluate the programmes and identify potential problems, informing the RR and formulating plans for alternative actions as necessary;
- Ability to perform co-ordination and representative duties with partners and stakeholders;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English language
