Chemonics is an international development consulting firm that is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill the position of Chief of Party for the Kenya Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) Project.
The IRS Project is funded by the US Presidential Malaria Initiative (PMI) through USAID.
Project activities will provide the Ministry of Health with technical and logistical support to conduct indoor residual spraying in Kenya.
The position will be based in Nairobi and interviews will be conducted in English. Salary will be based on the individual’s overall qualification, salary history and experience.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Advanced professional degree preferably in health or related field.
- At least ten years of progressive relevant experience in implementing and managing large scale field/health programs with complex, time sensitive logistical components in developing countries (Africa/Kenya preferred).
- Experience implementing large-scale IRS programs strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with USG environmental regulations (USAID preferred) and appropriate use of insecticides
- Familiarity with IEC/BCC related to IRS and entomological monitoring
- Experience working with Ministry of Health
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, supervisory and team-building skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to coordinate activities with officials from host country government, US Government, NGO’s, and other agencies;
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office Applications;
- Experience in general business administration, finance and accounting;
- Willingness to travel within Kenya frequently;
- Good working knowledge of local labor law a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work with cooperating partners in implementing a complex health program
