A growing financial institution in Kenya with offices in Nairobi providing Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises with innovative and affordable loan products, wishes to recruit suitably qualified and results oriented persons in the following positions for our Nairobi office:

Loan Officers

The ideal candidate should have the following:
  • Degree/ Diploma in Banking/Business Administration/Microfinance
  • 2 -3 years experience in sales, credit assessment or banking
  • Extrovert personality and good communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Word & Excel, and good administration skills
  • Ability to interpret basic financial info & relate to technical info
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and to meet targets
  • Ability to identify new clients
  • Ability to appraise and assess loan applications
  • Ability to ensure timely repayments from clients
Legal Officer

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • Law Degree/Post Graduate Diploma and enrolled as an advocate
  • Specialisation in commercial law and some training in business
  • Expertise in preparing all legal documents pertaining to loans
  • Implement litigation strategy & internal recovery desk for bad loans
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Results oriented
  • Ability to coordinate recovery efforts
Credit Coordinator

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • Diploma in Business Management/Administration/Banking/Microfinance OR
  • Completed CPA or CFA
  • Min 3 years experience in MFI or banking , hereof min 1 year as team leader
  • Extrovert personality and good communication skills
  • Good financial analysis and interpretation skills
  • Good organisational skills and high stress threshold
  • Results oriented
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills
  • Able to work 6-day weeks and changing working hours
Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a team of loan officers and other support staff
  • Target setting and follow up
  • Coordination of team resources
  • Team field supervision and compliance control
  • Training of the team as well as new team members
  • Management reporting
  • Ensuring a healthy portfolio and quality assessment of loans
Debt Recovery Officers

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:
  • Certificate/Diploma in Credit Management/Business Studies
  • 2-3 years experience in a financial or professional services firm in the credit control/debt collection department
  • Basic understanding of commercial law
  • Superior negotiation and communication skills
  • Must have a valid certificate of good conduct
  • Must have a good track record
  • Must be aggressive and consistent
  • Diligent, hardworking and able to work 6-days week
