Post: Capacity Building Co-ordinator
Location: Nairobi
Contract length: 3 years

We are seeking an experienced capacity building specialist to co-ordinate and manage a strategic response to address the capacity needs of partners.

The role has specific responsibility to develop partners’ capacity in cross cutting approaches of Local Church Mobilisation within the framework of Tearfund’s strategy for Kenya.

The post holder will provide strategic, technical and programmatic support to partners to enable them to more effectively bring about physical and spiritual transformation to the local community.

Substantial experience in organisation capacity assessment and development, Christian community development work at a project and grass roots level, Church& Community Mobilisation Processes, working with partner organisations and church leaders, participatory monitoring and evaluation, strategic planning, networking, and managing consultants.

This role requires a committed evangelical Christian who will be required to lead or participate in spiritual sessions of worship, prayer, and be committed to the outworking of Tearfund’s Missions, Values and Belief’s statement.

All posts involve potential contact with children and the recruitment process will include specific checks related to child protection issues
