Position: Re-Advertisement: Strategic Information Officer

Background

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain an accurate database for the Catholic Health Network on Human Resource, Service Statistics and Program Activities-both for Orphan and Vulnerable Children and Home and Community Based Activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate programmatic reporting to donors.
  • IT troubleshooting at AIDSRelief LPTFs that have technical difficulties
  • Assist the AIDSRelief Strategic Information team to remotely connect to the LPTF databases
  • Build capacity of LPTFs to manage, analyze and make use of their data
  • Assist in the capacity building efforts of the strategic information team.
  • Continued development of IQTools .net via
  • Assist the strategic information team to deploy and manage the IQ Care rollout at LPTFs
  • Support LPTFs that have existing websites to add AIDS Relief logo and information about their AR activities.
  • Compilation of monthly M&E reports and other reports as required by the AIDSRelief team
Qualifications
  • BSc Computer science, or other relevant degree
  • 3 years of M&E experience / HMIS,
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills ( SQL, Access, Excel, network, antivirus)
  • Have a good understanding of the health systems in Kenya
  • Experience in implementing US Government-funded projects.
This position will be based in Nairobi and will require frequent travel to remote areas.

  • Is a committed Catholic, with good recommendation from own Parish Priest
  • Is a person of attested integrity, with high degree of stewardship of resources
  • Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge through formal and informal training.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team as well as independently
  • Is innovative and assertive
  • Able to work with minimal supervision
