Our client, a leading internet access and communications solutions provider, is looking to fill the position of IT Manager.
Reporting to the Chief Technical Officer, the purpose of this position is to manage the IT function on a day-to-day operational basis.

- Ensures maximum availability of computer systems throughout the Company
- Responsible for the provision of IT infrastructure services including desktop applications, Local and / or Wide area networks, IT security and telecommunications.
- Development and implementation of new systems.
- Working with senior management to propose, agree and deliver IT services to defined Service Level Agreements.
- Managing the IT team including employee appraisals, discipline, pay reviews and career development.
- Responsible for IT hardware, software and maintenance procurement.
- Developing and maintaining a disaster recovery plan.
- Developing and controlling the IT security policy.
- Maintaining and developing the company intranet site.
- Providing monthly written report to the CTO on all aspects of the IT Department.
Minimum Requirements
The incumbent must possess the following minimum qualifications and competencies:

- Minimum of Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Technology or related field with relevant IT certifications such as, but not limited to Microsoft MCSE, Cisco CCNA and CCNP
- 3-4 years experience managing an IT environment, and in particular managing a network of more than 200 users.
- A good understanding of all IT related technologies; in particular:
- Good understanding of networking and network protocols
- Good understanding of Server operating systems (Windows 2003, Linux) Good understanding of Operating systems (Windows XP, Windows Vista)
- Good understanding of messaging systems (Microsoft Exchange, M-Daemon, Sendmail, Lotus Notes/Domino)
- Knowledge of database systems (Mysql, Microsoft SQL Server) Project management
- Experience in IT infrastructure planning and development with proven experience in project management
- Strong team leading skills, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent planning and organization skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
