Perform software development tasks for simple to moderately complex systems or modules of large complex drawing on developed knowledge of variety of development tools equipment, standards and technologies
- Write code
- Review, analyze and maintain existing code
- Debug programs
- Develop test programs
- Perform software tests
- Prepare systems or modules of large systems
- Analyze customer requirements
- Assist in the development of software and/or hardware specifications
- Contribute to the processes by recommending solutions, writing technical sections
- Participating in design review meetings
- Provide guidance to junior staff members
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated hardware.
- Learn and perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks on the simulators and associated hardware.
- Complete all designated training activities.
- Actively purse continued professional growth and training.
- Perform administrative tasks as required.
- Perform tasks to support the KQ simulator group as required.
- Aerospace applications or other heavy industry is a plus
- Good interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally
- Good written and oral communication skills necessary for meetings and presentations
- Ability to work well with others, exhibiting teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments concurrently
- Mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
Job Requirements
- Demonstrate ability to interpret system prints and schematics.
- Proficiency in operating test equipment (oscilloscope, multi-meter, signal generator, logic analyzer, etc.)
- Knowledge in analog and digital theory.
- Computer literate (PC and / or computer mainframe/architecture).
- Proficiency in soldering and circuit board repairs.
- Understanding of aircraft instruments and cockpit layouts’
- Demonstrate ability to interpret planning maintenance schedules
