Sales Manager– Datacentre

Reporting to the Management, the Sales Manager Data Center will be responsible for the setting up development and profitable running of the Data Center Division.

Key responsibilities

1. The successful candidate will aggressively identify and develop new business opportunities in the data center arena including physical infrastructure, network infrastructure and data centre applications that include storage, virtualization, clustering and backup/security software that suit clients' individual business requirements.
2. The candidate will manage projects and build sustainable business relationships.
3. Be involved in formulating and implementing the sales and marketing strategy, to facilitate increased Sales and customer satisfaction.
4. The candidate will come up with the Data center sales and services strategy, business plan and ensure implementation of the same
5. Establish and sustain excellent relationships with key vendors
6. The candidate will form a winning team and manage the data center division that will consist of sales, pre sales and technical personnel
7. The candidate’s high energy, 'can-do' approach combined with excellent negotiation skills should motivate and inspire both teams and potential clients and business partners.



Qualifications

* University Graduate (preferably, Computer Science and Physics) – having an MBA will be a definite advantage
* Minimum of 3 years experience in a Senior Management position preferably in the data center handling solution architecture will be an added advantage.
* Excellent written and communication skills in addition to ability to lead from the front and demand results
* The candidate must possess a strong commercial and marketing background.
* Good understanding and experience of the Telco industry in East Africa
* Excellent understanding of BCDR (Business continuity and Disaster recovery)



Sales Executive – Datacentre

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the sales executive shall be responsible for meeting customer’s prospects and obtaining new business and creating new opportunities for revenue

Key Responsibilities

1. Responsible for cultivating and sustaining relationships with corporate, individual, and government clients, and selling data center solutions.
2. Create a well-qualified and rich pipeline of prospective opportunities, negotiate and close profitable business, and work with partners to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and recurring revenue.
3. Manage the process from initial opportunity to ensuring successful service delivery i.e. deliver successful projects on time whilst meeting client expectations
4. He/she will also be responsible for delivering maximum sales from targeted prospects and hit the monthly target
5. Attend and contribute to sales meetings, training courses and presentations



Requirements

* University Graduate in computer science.
* Must have 2/3 years experience in the data centre field,
* A good understanding and experience in all aspects of Data Centre (especially Physical infrastructure, network infrastructure and data centre applications, including storage, virtualization, clustering, and backup/security software)
* Must have some understanding of BCDR (Business continuity and Disaster recovery )
* Must have good interpersonal skills
* Must be sales focussed and be target driven




Marketing executive

Reporting to Management, the Marketing Executive shall be responsible for handling all PR related issues, marketing activities and events and the corporate brand identity

Key Responsibilities

1. Contribute to and develop marketing plans and strategies in liaison with managers
2. Liaise and network with a range of stakeholders, e.g. Customers, colleagues, suppliers, vendors and partner organizations;
3. Communicate with target audiences and manage customer relationships
4. Source advertising opportunities and place adverts
5. Manage the production of marketing materials, including leaflets, posters, flyers, newsletters and e-newsletters and dvds, write and proofread copies, liaise with designers and printers and organize photo shoots
6. Arrange for the effective distribution of marketing materials
7. Organize and attend events such as conferences, seminars, receptions and exhibitions;
8. Source and secure sponsorship and conduct market research such as customer questionnaires and focus groups;
9. Work closely with the marketing agent

Requirements

* University degree with a specialisation in Marketing
* 2 years experience within a marketing function of a busy company preferably an IT company
* Strong project management skills
* Excellent presentation and written communication skills
* Ability to work calmly under pressure and to juggle multiple deadlines while meeting expectations of both internal and external customers
* Membership with the marketing society of Kenya will be an added advantage.
