All Saints' Cathedral, Nairobi: Executive Assistant to the Provost Job Vacancy

All Saints Cathedral which is the National Cathedral of the Anglican Church of Kenya, is seeking to recruit a highly competent and proactive person to fill the position of Executive Assistant to the Provost.

Purpose of the Position

The primary function of the Executive Assistant to the Provost is to provide a wide range of support services to the office of the Provost that ensures efficient functioning of this office and effective communication and engagement with key stakeholders and congregation.

Main Responsibilities

• Facilitate regular communication with support offices and key stakeholders on behalf of the Provost.
• Maintain up to date records of key contacts and networks and share these with relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare drafts of briefing papers for the Provost's review and follow up on items from Provost's consultations, meetings and events.
• Maintain diary of appointments, meetings, conferences and telephone calls and plan the Provost's visits in consultation with the respective stakeholders as advised by the Provost.
• Maintain a calendar of key Cathedral events, meetings and manage invitations to specific meetings.
• Provide administrative and secretarial services to the Provost's Office.

Qualification

• Degree in Secretarial Studies/Business Administration or
• Higher Diploma in Secretarial Studies with more than five years experience
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and editing)
• Proven ability to prepare concise clear reports, articles and emails
• Strategic thinking, decision making and problem solving abilities
• Assertive and confident
• Must be born again Anglican
• Age between 30 - 40 years
