Your Title:
Tank farm in Charge (TFI)
Location: Tanzania
1. JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for implementing, operating, monitoring and controlling systems and processes in tank farm operations, stock material accounting, and trading, import and export activities for meeting the business requirements of the company.
2. JOB DIMENSIONS
The scope and scale of activities with which this job is concerned;
- Adherence to standard operating, quality control and safety guidelines in all day to day receipt and dispatch operations
- Liaise with other oil marketing companies in case of Pipeline transfers, tanker discharge operations, Port, Customs/Excise authorities, Surveyors, Shipping Agents, Railways for tank wagons and load office for tank trucks and ensure timely completion of all receipt and delivery operations without any detention.
- Responsible for vessel boarding activities.
- Following with surveyor, laboratory for reports.
- Vessel loss/gain analysis and submission of reports to head office.
- Stock accounting of all receipts and dispatches and material balance/losses by closing the operating tanks on daily basis and dormant tanks once in a week and maintain the entire MIS/returns on stocks.
- Day end closing in SAP, Daily loss/ gain analysis and MIS preparation before closing of day operations, reconciling dispatches with Gantry in Charge, Load office in Charge and Security In Charge.
- Co-ordinate with maintenance set up and ensures that storage tanks/tank farm, oil water separator system, product pump house and other operating equipments/facilities are always tip top condition for uninterrupted operations.
3. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- A graduate in engineering preferably mechanical engineering.
- 2-5 years of experience in oil industry is a must.
- Candidate must not exceed 35 years of age
.
4. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCES
- Computer literacy, knowledge of SAP is an advantage
- Desire and ability to learn and develop new skills
- Highest level of honesty, integrity and transparency
