The KEMRI-Wellcome Trust Research Programme seeks to recruit the following:

1. Consultant Physician / Clinical Researcher

This new position offers an opportunity for an ambitious Consultant/Physician/Clinical Researcher in internal medicine to over see a research project in invasive bacterial disease in adults and to manage the medical care of adults at Kilifi District Hospital.

This will involve building on the platform established for the evaluation of indirect effects of the pneumococcal immunization programme.

2. Post-Doctoral Research Assistant - Molecular Virology

This position is to be located within the viral epidemiology research group. An important area of interest of the group is the molecular and immuno-epidemiology of human respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), which is the leading viral cause of infant and childhood severe pneumonia worldwide.
