Agri-Business Development Manager
Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for research and development of agri-business for the Bank in liaison with other functional units.
Main Duties:
- Establishment of business potential in the agriculture sector.
- Establish the current needs of the market segment, linkages with key market players and identifying specific customer needs that may require review of existing products or development of new tailor made products.
- Co-ordinate with key institutions relevant to agriculture sector and its value chain including Government and Development partners.
- Development of project concepts, proposals and business plans appropriate for the sector.
- Project co-ordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation.

- Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and negotiation skills
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Advanced report writing and presentation skills
- Project development and management skills
- Excellent interpersonal/networking skills
- Good personal judgement, initiative, creativity and maturity
- Ability and willingness to travel widely within Kenya away from base station for extended periods of time
- Must be computer literate.
- Age-35 years and below
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelors degree in either Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Commerce or Marketing.
- A Post Graduate Diploma in Business Development/Entrepreneurship will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven track record in successful business development in the agricultural sector.
