Agronomist Job Vacancy

A growing export oriented horticultural firm is seeking to fill the above position.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of B.Sc. in Horticulture/Agricultural Economics/ Agribusiness Management
• Euro Gap Certification process experience at the farm level a MUST
• Five years experience preferably in the horticultural sector
• Excellent knowledge and use of MS Office - Word, Excel, MS Project as well as computer packages for statistical analysis and regressions
• Have excellent problem solving and analytical skills
• Good interpersonal skills both oral and written

Responsibilities:

• Develop agronomy programs to manage and improve production while making efficient use of natural resources, including water conservation with the objective of maintaining environmental quality
• Strive to develop, implement and maintain best practices in plant and soil management
• Gather and synthesize information on market trends, production methods.
  
• Prepare reports for consideration by management based on the same.
