Old Mutual, a leading multi-national investments and life assurance group of companies is looking to recruit highly dynamic, professional candidates to the following positions

Position: Security Manager
Report to: Head of Operations & ICT

Purpose of the position

The purpose of this position is to proactively prevent, detect, investigate and manage fraud, physical security issues and associated risk in the Company.

Key to the role is the understanding of the business, the environment, the industry trends and the fraud and crime dynamics.

Key Result Areas:

Fraud Prevention
Proactively identify and report on all areas that are susceptible to fraud across the organization
Regularly carry out fraud-risk analysis on all key processes within the organization and report potential risk areas
Prepare, develop and recommend policies and procedures to help identify fraud and prevent incidences of fraud
Develop and maintain risk, control and security systems
Continuously improve systems and procedures to prevent incidence of fraud
Utilize analytical tools to improve efficiency of fraud management
Fraud Detection
Conduct fair fraud/forensic investigations in case of detection of fraud
Carry out periodic review of processes to reduce incidence of fraud
Identify, analyze and record sufficient information to achieve the objectives of fraud review
Conduct and involve in investigations till completion, including preparation of documents for court attendance if required
Develop and maintain clear and relevant MIS and reporting systems
Security Management
Conduct regular security audits and recommend the necessary actions
Proactively identify security gaps, lapses and close the same
Other Key Result Areas:
Providing overall functional leadership with respect to security and fraud investigation across Old Mutual Group and its associated companies in Kenya, including the adoption of best practices and leveraging synergies with the group forensics.
In-charge of the physical security operations for the entire Old Mutual operations in Kenya.
Develop the overall physical security and fraud risk profiles of Old Mutual Group and Associated companies in Kenya and ensuring that appropriate action is taken to address them.
Investigate crime and fraud related incidents like fake claims, factious policies and contract, death claims, fake documents as well as compliance and integrity breaches.
Developing partnerships within relevant organization such as The Police, Criminal Investigations Department and any other relative security apparatus to ensure that the company is not exposed.
Responsible for both local and international crime related activities like cyber-crime, anti-terrorism or any other kind of white-collar crimes.
Training of staff in security awareness programs.
Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Legal/ Risk Management/ Information System/ Business or any related field.
A minimum of 5 years’ working experience in fraud investigation in either government or private sector preferred with respect to internal/ external fraud and criminal investigations.
Preference would be given to candidates with police/ Forensics investigation or some law enforcement experience (commercial crime investigation highly desirable) and track record of conducting investigations with a fair degree of complexity.
Possess one of the following professional certifications is mandatory: Certified Information Forensics Investigator (CIFI), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor)
Knowledge about collection, preservation and continuity of evidence gathered, skills in taking detailed notes during the course of investigations, preparing reports concerning results of investigations
Conversant with international laws and treaties in relationship to frauds, cyber-crimes, and anti-money laundering and must to able to customize these issues to the local environment.
Excellent English and Kiswahili communications skills in both oral and writing
Familiarity with local regulatory and legal requirements and the structure of local criminal justice system.
Position: Senior Investment Portfolio Manager
Division: Department Investment

Reports to: Chief Investment Officer

Purpose of the position
Providing leadership in portfolio management to ensure that management of all clients assets comply with International best practice and Old Mutual internal policies.
Key Result Areas:
Achieve out-performance against agreed return benchmarks
Oversee and ensure the smooth implementation of Investment Committee recommendations
Align client assets with investment committee recommendations
Oversee dealing function and report back to management and investment committee
Manage client assets in accordance with mandate/investment policy
Manage portfolio risks and regulatory compliance aspects with regard to asset allocation
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Degree in Finance/accounting/related field
Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or making good progress towards Charter.
At least five years experience in a position within the investment industry
Proven track record of successfully managing client portfolios
Demonstrate good communication and leadership skills with high personal integrity
Organized, numerate, analytical and fully computer literate
Very familiar with the current Retirement Benefits Authority and Capital Markets Authority regulations
Position: Head of Human Resources
Division: Department Human Resources
Reports to: Group CEO

Purpose of the position

To Provide leadership to the strategic and operational management of the Old Mutual Kenya human resources function in support of Old Mutual Kenya corporate strategy.
Key Result Areas:
Ensures that the HR structure and resourcing is aligned with the strategy of Old Mutual Kenya, HR operational plan supports the business strategy and agreed targets met and also ensures sound processes and systems to provide timely support services to the Group.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Requires masters in Human Resources management, business administration or its equivalent.
Minimum of 5 years human resources at a senior management level
Requires ability to coordinate, prioritize and organize workload;
ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and excellent computer skills.
Requires emotional intelligence and leadership abilities.
Requires professional ability to interact with internal and external clients, high level of emotional intelligence, ability to communicate fluently both in writing and verbally and working without supervision.
Position: Equity Analyst
Division: Department Research

Reports to: Chief Investment Officer

Purpose of the position
To provide research, strategy and other input in managing Domestic Equities and Equity Funds within set parameters and guidelines in order to meet defined performance objective benchmarks.
Key Result Areas:
Prepare monthly Equity House view report and present it to the investment committee for review.
Design and Develop dynamic Equity strategies.
Monitor implementation of strategies as per Investment committee recommendations.
Substantial involvement in Dealing and auxiliary Portfolio Management functions within equity funds.
Analysis and recommendation of various Equity investment opportunities available within East Africa.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Bachelor of Commerce degree, professional qualification in investment ,CFA will be an added advantage
At least 3 years relevant experience
Skilled in both Fixed Income and Equity Markets functions and dealing.
Effective deal making and closure ability.
Good networking in the investment Industry.
Excellent excel skills including financial modelling.
Position: Senior Investment Analyst
Division: Department Investment

Reports to: Chief Investment Officer

Purpose of the position:
To provide research, strategy and other input in portfolio management within set parameters and guidelines in order to meet certain performance objectives benchmarks.
Key Result Areas:
In conjunction with respective asset class team, prepare weekly reports and make presentation to the investment committee.
Generate asset class (equity, offshore & fixed income) strategies and security selection approach for deliberation by the investment committee.
Ensuring implementation of strategies as per Investment committee recommendations.
Analysis and recommendation of various investment opportunities available within the local, regional and international financial markets.
Prepare daily analysts sheets for morning meetings and actively participate by making constructive contributions and generating investment ideas.
Actively participate in writing of Quarterly Economic and Market Report.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
Bachelor of Commerce or related business degree.
3 years working experience
Professional qualification or making good progress in business related professional courses
High analytical and report writing skills
Good personality with good communication and presentation skills
Ability to work with less supervision and observance of tight deadlines.
Versatile in Macro, Fixed Income and Equity analysis.
Good knowledge & understanding of local, regional & international markets.
Team player.
