National Sales & Marketing Manager JD


 
A start-up digital media organisation is looking for a suitably qualified person to fill the role of National Sales & Marketing Manager.  This Position will be based in Nairobi  but with an opportunity to travel regionally.
The Key Responsibilities
·         Formulating and implementing Online & offline marketing strategies including ;
o   Segmenting sales channels
o   Developing Marketing  Campaigns  by employing various forms of media mix
o   Marketing financial Planning and budgeting  
o   Designing and communicating high-level Marketing  presentations
·         Pitching online advertising as an alternative channel for marketing & branding to property markets participants
·         Managing a team of sales and marketing executives
·         Formulating marketing Campaigns Budgets
·         Managing end to end of sales operations  processes
·         Managing the collection & collation of Local property intelligence information to provide inputs for suburb profiles  build-up and other Kenya’s property markets content  including
o   Property prices in suburbs
o   New property developments
o   Infrastructure projects in suburbs
o   Securing Interviews  with potential  interviewees in the property market  sector
·         Engaging with Property market stakeholders including institutions such as relevant government authorities ,  professional associations   and industry forums enhance brand equity of the products
·         Presenting key analysis on Sales and Marketing efforts to senior executives
·         Developing relevant web content  development strategies in collaboration with editorial contractors
Direct Reports
·         Reports to Company  Directors  weekly
Required Competencies & past Experience
Must haves:
·         Marketing
o   A strong awareness of Web marketing principles and online advertising products
o   At least 2 years of Past experiences in;
§  Market Segmentation & Channel management
§  Relationship  selling and Account Management
o   Experience with use of  Social Media networks such as twitter , facebook and myspace  for personal networking or corporate advertising
o   Basic understanding of website technologies

·         Budgeting & planning
o   One year experience formulating Financial budgets or business plans
·         General Management  and leadership 
o   Experience leading teams in corporate setting  , managing business or technical projects
o   It is desirable that the candidate will have strong abilities to lead a team of specialists ranging from technology developers to sales  executives and customer service  consultants. The candidate must have demonstrated
o   The candidate MUST demonstrate a strong awareness backed up by  broad knowledge  about the evolving technology landscape in the world and how it is driving growth in the use of the internet  in Kenya as well as sub-saharan Africa
o   The ability to articulate the value-proposition of web-driven commercial opportunities such as  online advertising  to potential  customers
o   Relationship building  - some of the products are geared towards consumers who have little knowledge about technology, therefore the best candidate must demonstrate their abilities to translate complex technology speak to Kenya’s street-speak ‘vernaculars’’  and be ready to walk extra miles to build relationships  with people of all walks of life.
Character
·         Passionate about web-driven commercial ventures ;  The candidate MUST have demonstrated a lot of passion for web-driven business opportunities
·         The candidate must be of high Integrity a team-player and demonstrate experience where they have provided leadership in ambiguous or uncertain situations.
Academic  & Professional Qualifications
·         Minimum  Bachelors degree in, Commerce , Economics , Comp science or Engineering  with a tone of web technology  & marketing  studies
·         It would be desirable  for the Candidate to have taken information technology courses and more precisely some  advanced internet related courses
Desirable:
·         Past experience in Online Marketing including the application of SEO, clicks per impressions, impressions per page, Google Analytics and  Social Media networks advertising strategies
·         Website development skills
·          internet- based  technology products marketing
·         Basic Graphic design skills
