VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Malteser International (MInt) is a German based humanitarian NGO. It has been implementing Tuberculosis (TB), Leprosy, HIV, and Sleeping Sickness control programs in South Sudan since 1997. Malteser has field locations in Yei (Central Equatoria State), Maridi (Western Equatoria State) and Rumbek (Lakes State).
Malteser wishes to recruit an M+E Officer, based in Juba, with frequent visits to the field. He/she will fulfill his/her duties in close conjunction with the Medical Coordinator for South Sudan based in Juba, and the Program Coordinator at the location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure the implementation of a unified data collection and reporting system in all MInt Southern Sudan locations, in line with MoH and donor guidelines
· Carry out on-site data verification on a regular basis at all locations
· Participate in the design of new or review of data collection and reporting tool
· Ensure that data collection at location level is complete and timely analysis is done in close coordination with Health Project Managers at locations
· Participate in the development of indicator monitoring tools and indicator definitions for the Malteser International health programs in South Sudan
· Participate actively in the preparation of donor reports and proposals as required
· Work closely with Medical Coordinator, Health Project Managers, and Program Coordinators at the locations to develop and review the annual implementation plans on a quarterly basis
· Participate in emergency response activities during disease outbreaks
· Provide technical support to the Health Project Managers in data management, implementation of M+E System, and reporting
· Keep monthly overview of all trainings and workshops conducted, number of participants, and other important conclusions according to medical report forms
· In absence of the Medical Coordinator, represent MInt at regular meetings on regional and national level for health interagency coordination
· Continuously liaise with all partners on M+E issues, incl. Ministry of Health, UN organizations, and other NGOs
Required
· Nationality: Sudanese
· University degree in Medicine. Post graduate training in public health or health services management.
· At least two years post-graduate experience in managing health programs with an international NGO (supervision and allocation of staff, report writing, data collection and analysis, designing work plan, conducting need assessments, medical logistics)
· Proven extensive experience in TB-HIV, Leprosy and Sleeping Sickness control and/or other control programs of communicable and endemic diseases.
· Prepared to work with limited resources and under difficult circumstances
· Fluent in English
· Familiar with Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook)
