GVEP International is implementing a regional energy access project in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and seek to fill the position of Monitoring and Evaluation Co-ordinator with a dynamic, result oriented, highly proficient and ethics driven individual.
The position will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Key Responsibilities
* Help design a framework for identifying the key performance parameters/ indicators for monitoring GVEP International projects in East Africa.
* Review the quality of existing social and economic data in the project areas, methods of collecting it and the degree to which it will provide good data for results based evaluation
* Ensure that all service provider contracts include specifications for the internal monitoring required of them and the reporting systems.
* Organize refresher training on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for internal staff as well as implementing partner staff.
* Prepare reports on M&E findings as required working closely with Finance Manager, Technical staff and implementing partners
* Ensure that monitoring data are discussed in the appropriate forum and in a timely fashion and decisions are made on the way forward.
Qualification and experience
* In-depth knowledge of project cycle management, in particular the development of a thorough M&E framework for projects and programmes
* Must be conversant in the use of logical framework approach
* Must have worked in projects funded by the international bodies such as EU, World Bank and other major development partners.
* Must have worked as an M&E Manager for a minimum of 5 years
* A minimum of Master degree in relevant field
* Excellent in writing and analytical skills, including statistical programmes
