Consumer Broadband Manager Vacancy at Safaricom Limited

In keeping with our current business needs the Commercial Division is looking for a person who meets the criteria listed below:

Consumer Broadband Manager
Ref: CI&C –CBM – DEC09

Reporting to the Head of Department, the Consumer Broadband Manager will be develop and create in conjunction with the data team; new products, extensions and adaptations for consumer broadband.

The job holder will be responsible for implementing the broadband strategy and drive significant market growth whilst overseeing the execution of the broadband marketing operations across the entire marketing mix.

The job holder’s key responsibilities will be to:
  • Develop and deliver the consumer data broadband strategy on fixed and wireless broadband for Residential and Small office home office markets;
  • Deliver growth in distinct residential users and Small office home office as per detailed budget;
  • deliver growth in ARPU through delivery of broadband products and solutions;
  • Consistent development and improvement of strategically sound, actionable and targeted marketing business plans that contribute to rebuilding brand equity, targets and identification of tapped business opportunities;
  • Deliver of residential and Small office home office broadband revenues in line with set targets;
  • Formulate modem and PC strategies and propositions to increase growth and penetration of broadband services;
  • Champion the delivery of the broadband product roadmap.
The ideal candidate should possess the following:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or a business related field;
  • At least 6 years working experience with focus on Telecom consumer products management / marketing;
  • Work experience in driving residential and Small office home office services to consumer or mass market segment;
  • Possess strong ownership, self initiative and entrepreneurial working style;
  • Ability to manage multi-tasks, highly self-motivated and attention to details;
  • Familiar and sensitive to the change and market trend of consumer behaviour on the Telecom service requirements;
  • Highly results and performance oriented;
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills;
  • Excellent team player with good leadership and mentoring skills;
  • Confident, intelligent, presentable, highly organized and conscientious.
