KIMISITU Co-operative Savings and Credit Society Limited is a leading and dynamic Sacco in East and Central
Africa, providing a one-stop-shop for diverse quality products and services to its members through maximum
and prudent utilization of resources. KIMISITU was formed in 1985 by a group of staff from the International
Centre for Research in Agroforestry (ICRAF) to promote thrift among members by affording them an
opportunity for accumulating their savings thereby creating a source of funds from which loans can be made to
them for provident and productive purposes at fair and reasonable rates of interest. We have enjoyed
tremendous success, established a solid base for growth and pride in over 3,400 individual members drawn from
170 NGO's and International Organizations.
In line with these growth trends we invite qualified candidates to apply for the following open positions:
Assistant Systems Auditor
Main Responsibilities:
1. Evaluate the adequacy of the systems and internal controls of the society.
2. Review and report on the accuracy, timeliness and relevance of all information provided to the Management
Committee.
3. Evaluate value for money that the society obtains in all its activities.
4. Report on compliance with the applicable policies, procedures, International Accounting Standards, Sacco
Societies Act and other relevant legislation.
5. Liaise with the management to establish a system which ensures that all major risks of the society are
identified and analyzed.
Qualifications:
1. A university degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics or IT
2. Minimum CPA Part II ,
3. Hands on experience with Computer Assisted Audit tools and techniques.
4. Diploma in IT or IMIS will be an added advantage
Skills and Desired Qualities:
Sound ICT skills, Interpersonal skills, A good team player, Able to work with minimum supervision.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years audit experience.
Marketing Officer
Main Responsibilities:
1. Develop a marketing plan in line with the overall marketing strategy of the society.
2. Co-ordinate the design of point of sale and visual marketing materials in line with the society's branding
guidelines.
3. Work with the other staff to develop new ideas for reaching new markets.
4. Conduct market research and competitor analysis regularly.
5. Liaise with media and other stakeholders in the Co-operative movement as required to enhance the image of
the society.
Qualifications:
1. A university degree in marketing, or in business administration (marketing) or its equivalent
2. Professional training in marketing or public relations
Skills and Desired Qualities:
Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, should be innovative and be able to work
independently. Sound ICT Skills.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
