Urgent Cargo, a Freight Logistics Company is looking for a self-motivated and focused person to take up the position of Operations Manager.
Reporting To: The Managing Director
Job Summary
Responsible for the overall profitability and efficiency of our Sea and Airfreight Departments.
Main Duties & Responsibilities: -
- To ensure the Company's operations are smooth, systematic and to the required standards.
- Fiscal integrity of the Company, including preparation and administration of annual budget.
- To plan, develop and improve specific operational policies, programs procedures and methods.
- To ensure timely and efficient clearance of cargo at all ports.
- Relationship building with all the key stakeholders.
- To ensure high level of service delivery and fast response times to customers.
- Tracking and updating shipping information.
- To ensure timely production and submission of accurate reports.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.
- Minimum of 10 years working experience.
- Experience within the Clearing & Forwarding industry in a similar position would be an added advantage.
- Ability to multi-task and work with a sense of urgency
- Outstanding time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
