- The public Relations Officer will be responsible for managing Daystar University's external perception and creating awareness with the aim of improving the University's reputation.
- He/she will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a two-way communication between Daystar University and its public that aim to foster mutual understanding resolve conflicts and promote a positive image based on true information.
- Developing proactive PR campaigns to build positive interaction with key publics
- Carrying out research and surveys to advice management on various perception themes
- Coordinating the production of University Publications
- Fostering community relations through various community initiatives

3. Creative Designer - The Creative Designer reports to the Corporate Affairs Manager and plays a key role in both marketing communications and public relations activities.

- A first degree in Communication/Journalism/marketing
- Knowledge in taking and editing photos and videos, storage and retrieval system.
- At least a Diploma in IT specifically in Desktop Publishing with proficiency in Illustrator ,Photoshop CS3, InDesign ,Acrobat,Flash ,Corel Draw,Excellent verbal/written communications-skills.
- Must have a strong commitment to high corporate quality standards
- Assists in implementation of the visuql design language and brand standards to assure a strong, integrated national, and African brand presence across all media platforms.
- Ability to improve, and promote world-class advertising, marketing and communication materials.
- Ability to execute aggressive advertising campaigns
- Innovative and possess an ability to think creatively to produce & contribute new ideas to departmental and university projects.

- Ensure adherence to minimum and maximum stocks levels

- Ensure compliance to procurement practices, regulations and law; co-ordinate procurement of equipment, supplies and services
- Establish and update current procurement policies and procedures and prepare and maintain procurement records.
- Ensure competitive bidding and administration of contracts for outsourced services.
- Train and guide user departments on effective and efficient inventory management system.

- A Bachelors degree in Commerce, Economics or Business Administration from a recognized University
- A diploma in supplies and procurement or CIPS final
- At least 7 years working experience in a busy Purchasing and Supplies department
- Excellent computer skills preferably in Navision Attain software

- Ensure proper service provision, usage and accounting of utilities.

- Supervise and motivate staff in section to produce their best.
- Ensure that the campus environment is kept clean and safe.
6. Assistant Librarian, Nairobi Campus

- Conversant with automated library systems, MARC formats and online information searches.
- Good interpersonal communication skills
- At least 3 years relevant working experience
- Working experience in an academic library will be an added advantage
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and quality user-centred print and electronic information service to faculty, students and staff.
- Conduct library orientation to the new students
- Train students, faculty and staff on how to use internet resources and how to access the online journal databases
- Oversee charging and discharging of library materials
- Clear students, lecturers and staff from the library during separation from the University.
- Oversee registration of new library users
- Liaise with faculty, students and staff for marketing and selection of relevant library resources to facilitate teaching, learning and research
