GOAL Ireland (Kenya) is seeking a suitable and qualified candidate for the role of Procurement Officer

Job Summary
The Procurement Officer oversees all procurement. The primary focus is to ensue that all procurement requests are delivered in a timely manner while ensuring that GOAL'S purchasing systems, logistics manual and relevant donor guidelines are complied with.

Major Responsibilities

• Oversee all procurement and handover of goods to next link in supply chain.
• Secure best value and service benefit deals on all procurement and supply requests
• Provide guidance to other departments to interface with procurement
• Record GOAL assets in the Asset Management System at point of purchase

Qualifications

• Min of 2 years senior purchasing experience in a humanitarian / development role
• A degree in social sciences, preferably Business Administration or BCom
• Post graduate Qualification in Purchasing
