REGISTERED CLINICAL OFFICER
The Job
Reporting to the Company Medical Officer, the job holder will provide the highest standards of primary and curative health services to the company's employees and their families with the aim of having a healthy and productive workforce.
Among the key responsibilities are:
- Provision of clinical services to patients including administration of Anti-Retroviral Treatment and referrals for specialised treatment in consultation with the Company Medical Officer;
- Ensuring quality dispensary services and conducive sanitation within the Company premises;
- Carrying out preventive healthcare services including continuous health education, immunisation and family planning services;
- Ensuring that the best health and safety practices are adhered to by monitoring industrial and non-industrial injuries, attending meetings on health and safety and assisting in the development of health and safety guidelines within the organisation.
The minimum requirements for this position include:
- Diploma/Degree in Clinical Medicine and Surgery from a recognized institution;
- Certificate of registration with the Clinical Officers Council;
- Post graduate qualifications in either paediatrics or pulmonary infections and dermatology;
- Experience of at least 5yrs in a busy institution with an inpatient facility.Training and experience in the management of HIV/AIDS will be an added advantage.
The Job
Reporting to the Assistant Manager -Research and Development, the job holder will be responsible for ensuring that research experiments are conducted accurately according to agreed protocols, and the results are analyzed and reported in good time.The job holder will also be in charge of the Pilot Plant Operation, black tea factory experimentation supervision, dryer and boiler performance tests for both Black Tea and Extracts Divisions.
The job covers the entire process of research and development including writing experimental protocols, supervising experiments, data management, maintenance and calibration of research equipment, research leading to development of new products and quality management.
The Person
The minimum requirements for this position include:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Production Engineering;
- 3 years hands on experience in tea production, manufacturing , or in a research related institution;
- Knowledge of steam generation, heat transfer and energy calculation basics;
- Good understanding of process control and automation.
