Plan's Regional Office of East and Southern Africa requires a Regional Advisor on Microfinance & Sustainable Livelihood, who will be based in the successful applicant's home country on local terms & conditions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Implementation of the Regional Microfinance Strategy: Microfinance strategies as components of strategic plans are integrated with other relevant disciplines.
- Development of a set of metrics to determine the effectiveness of Microfinance strategy: A functioning program model that addresses the financial services and business development needs of working youth developed and implemented.
- Networking with appropriate organizations in Microfinance.
- Management of a central information system for all microfinance programs deliverables and impacts
- University degree (preferably Post-graduate) in the field of Economics, Finance, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent practical development experience.
- Experience in strategic planning.
- Knowledge management of Microfinance.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the design and implementation & management of Sustainable financial services (Microfinance) projects at similar level.
- Extensive travel in the Region will be required.
