The Core Network Operations a department within the Technical Division is responsible for Core Network Maintenance, Core IP Networks (GPRS) Maintenance, Intelligent Network and VAS Maintenance. The Department is looking to fill the following vacancy within the team;
CORE NETWORK MAINTENANCE POWER ENGINEER
REF:CNO-CNMPE-NOV08
Reporting to the Core Network Maintenance Team Manager this person will be responsible for managing and coordinating technical issues relating to MSR site power equipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate technical issues relating to MSR site power equipments;
- Coordinate contractor actions relating to MSR maintenance;
- Manage and monitor site configuration performance and system enhancement to optimise power control systems repairs;
- Ensure all site power systems design are well documented at site;
- Keep a current library of wiring and installation configured..
Minimum Requirements
- A Bsc degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or telecoms Engineering from a recognized university;
- 2 - 3 years experience as an engineer preferably in a technical field preferably in telecommunications environment dealing with power related issues on preventive and curative maintenance.
- Ability to check written and printed information and design;
- Ability to utilise key board devices to control, direct and review documents;
- Must have good planning and organization skills;
- Have good communication and Interpersonal skills.
