Business Unit Manager

We are looking for a Business Unit Manager that will manage our new E‐Learning Business Unit. They will be responsible for the business
development, managing the department, and establishing and achieving sales and profit goals for the department. This dynamic and
entrepreneurial individual will lead his team, and this role has the potential to lead to a senior executive role.

Position Description:
Currently, Personnel Resource are seeking for qualified candidates to join their Kenya - Nairobi, Nairobi team as Business Unit Manager. This opportunity is a Contract position to be based at Nairobi, Kenya - Nairobi, Nairobi.

Responsibilities:
Lead department by managing daily operations and developing and executing growth strategy.
• Continually develop new client business by pursuing business opportunities with strategic targets and cultivating relationships with
existing clients.
• Mentor your team by directing their work efforts, monitoring recruitment efforts, resolving client and/or Consultant issues, and
addressing internal office issues.
• Facilitate the continued growth of practice through timely hiring and managing of employees involved in service delivery, recruiting,
business development and administration.
• Create revenue by generating, closing, and managing engagements and growing the unit
• Represent the organization in appropriate professional and community organizations.

Candidate Requirements:

• The position requires business maturity, excellent judgment and a hands‐on entrepreneurial spirit
• Successful candidates generally have at least five (5) years of professional services and industry experience with a strong IT
background
• Experience selling professional services, networking and generating leads
• Demonstrated track record of positive change in all positions held
• Strong negotiation and consensus building skills when dealing with internal customers, stakeholders and team members
• A high level of enthusiasm for building a business and a personal sense of urgency and capacity to overcome obstacles
• An entrepreneurial individual who thrives on building and growing a successful and dynamic practice
• Ability to respond effectively and quickly to clients' needs and issues
• Ability to negotiate and communicate complex concepts/business issues verbally and in writing to clients, Consultants and
management
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities/projects and proven ability to develop business relationships
