Job Summary:
The Senior Technical Advisor - Male Circumcision will provide technical leadership and guidance on EngenderHealth’s male circumcision programming in Kenya.
In addition, he/she will provide technical guidance and support to EngenderHealth’s country programs and global programs on all clinical issues pertaining to male circumcision.
Work closely with other technical advisors, Project Directors, and the Global Director, HIV/STI to identify, document, disseminate, adapt, and replicate clinical best practices in male circumcision and take them to scale.
Identify, develop and disseminate the latest clinical guidelines and standards, and will conduct regular technical training and updates on male circumcision for EngenderHealth staff and country counterparts as required.
He/she will also work with the Global Director, M,E&R to guide M&E, research, and use of data related to male circumcision services.

Education, Experience & Certifications
- Medical degree and postgraduate medical qualifications in sexual reproductive health, HIV care and/or infectious diseases.
- At least 2 years specialist experience in providing male circumcision services.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Specialist medical training and clinical experience in the following areas: male circumcision, VCT, STI management, infection prevention (universal precautions), and quality improvement.
- Writing and communication skills
- Experience in providing field-based TA in area of expertise.
- Fluency in English at the S5/R5 level required; fluency in other relevant African language(s) preferred
