The Association for the Physically Disabled of Kenya (APDK), in partnership with Christian Blind Mission International(CBMI) has acquired funding from the European Union(EU) to implement a four year disability program.
The objective of the Program is to reduce the prevalence of disabilities and mitigate the effect of impairments by increasing community awareness, strengthening maternal and newborn care and providing comprehensive early intervention services accessible to the community.
In order to implement the program, APDK wishes to recruit the following:-
1. Country Coordinator

1. Country Coordinator

- Degree in Social Sciences or health related field.
- 5 years working experience in health or population related field.
- Management experience in working with NGO or Government.
- Computer literate and ability to work independently.
- Experience with donor funding and reporting
2. Training Co-ordinator

- Basic degree on health related field or Social Sciences.
- A higher diploma in Health / Medical Education will be an added advantage.
- 2 years experience in conducting trainings for health workers/communities
- Knowledgeable on Government training standards for health workers.
- Computer literate, a team player and resourceful to all cadres in health.
3. Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

- Degree in Social / Behavioral Sciences or a relevant field.
- At least 2 years relevant working experience in M &E field.
- Experience in project cycle management (PCM).
- Knowledge on disability issues and ready to work with Persons with Disabilities.
- Computer literate and experience with e.g. statistical soft ware (STATA,SPSS).
- Sound writing and reporting skills.
4. Research Assistant

- Higher National Diploma in Orthopaedic Technology or equavalent.
- At least 4 years relevant experience in Prosthetics and orthotics.
- Be able to manage a National Programm.
- Knowledge of research protocols.
- Computer literate and a team player.
5. Driver

- Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education(K.C.S.E) min. C
- At least 5 years driving experience incl. field.
- Aged 27 years and above.
- A clean driving license.
- Good code of conduct certificate.
